How We Earn Revenue
The Marlowe Collection participates in affiliate marketing programs with villa booking platforms including (but not limited to) Booking.com, Vrbo, Oliver’s Travels, and other property rental services. When you click on a booking link from our site and complete a reservation, we may earn a commission from the booking platform at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you book through our link or navigate to the platform directly.
We also maintain partnerships with select luxury travel advisors who specialize in villa rentals. If you request booking assistance through our site and subsequently book a property with one of our partner advisors, we may receive a referral fee. Again, this does not affect the price you pay—advisor services are provided at no additional charge beyond the villa rental cost.
What Doesn't Influence Our Recommendations
Our affiliate partnerships do not determine which properties appear in The Marlowe Collection.
Every villa featured on our site earned its place through our evaluation process, which assesses properties across five objective criteria: Location & Setting, Amenities & Facilities, Design & Character, Service & Experience, and Value. Properties are scored independently before we know which booking platforms they’re available through or what commission rates those platforms offer.
A property offering a higher affiliate commission does not receive preferential treatment, higher scores, or better placement. A property unavailable through any of our affiliate partners but meeting our quality standards would still be featured if it scored 85 or higher.
Similarly, our travel advisor partnerships do not influence property selection. The same ten villas appear in each destination’s collection regardless of whether we have advisor relationships
Why This Matters
Our business model depends on your trust. If we recommended properties based on commission potential rather than genuine quality, you would have a disappointing experience and never return to our site. That approach would destroy the credibility we’re building.
Instead, we’ve structured The Marlowe Collection around a straightforward principle: curate truly exceptional properties, help travelers make confident decisions, and earn revenue when our recommendations prove valuable. We succeed when you have an outstanding villa experience and return for future trip planning.
